Welcome the TRF Databank
You will notice two names being thrown around here.
Databank, and
Database.
This, all of this is the
Databank. The Databank envelopes everything here. The Planet Database, the Ship Database, and any additional information that may be added.
Database references a single, particular part of the Databank. There is the Ship Database, a compository of ship information and stats, and the Planet Database, information concerning planets referenced and owned by members of TRF.
This is a semi-comprehensive database of craft allowed on TRF. This database is in its infancy, but eventually it will be a far more complete and authoritative source for TRF. The idea for a Ship Database was born out of a frustration of not having a solid, dependable source for the particularly rare form of stats that TRF used to use. While TRF no longer religiously uses a stat-based system, it is useful to have a reference point concerning the origins, basic stats and capacities of certain ships.
Unlike the Ship Database, the Planet Database is not intended to be an end-all complete and authoritative source of information concerning the planets of the Star Wars universe. Its intention is to solely be an extension of the venerable
Planets List∞. The Planet Database will contain only planets owned or mentioned extensively by members of TRF in their stories. Ideally, the Planets Database will contain not only the official descriptions of individual planets, but their TRF history in brief, including links to past threads and information concerning previous owners, battles, and other relevant information.
The infamous battles database features some of the key conflicts of both the canon Star Wars Universe and the TRF universe. Please note that due to the alternate timeline of the TRF universe, some battles that may have occured within the novels are not mentioned, for they never happened here. The battle descriptions list the events leading up to the battles, a description of the engagement, an aftermath, and if applicable, a full order of battle.
This database will serve as a useful guide for any and all roleplayers at TRF who love to roleplay force users. This guide will help new and old alike to get a better idea of what apprentices to masters are capable of to minimize godmoding.
A Note about the Databank
This Databank is a Wiki. Anyone can sign up and edit it, if they so wish. The idea is that correct information will remain, while bad information will vanish into obscurity. Should you have questions concerning how the Databank works, visit the Databank Editors forum. Useful pages:
